Traditionally
Traditionally, a pocket watch is worn in a vest pocket. The chain is passed through a buttonhole, then draped in the opposite pocket.
If you are right-handed, the watch should go in your left vest pocket, and vice versa. This allows you to draw the watch while leaving your dominant hand free.
Some wearers loop the chain around a button after passing it through a buttonhole. This version is ideal for displaying decorative chain fobs.
Casually
You know that tiny, seemingly useless little pocket on the inside of your jeans’ front pocket? It’s a watch pocket and dates back to the first ever pair of Levi’s jeans made in 1879! Place your watch in there or the larger pocket and the chain can clip to a belt loop.
Get Creative
